Imagine a dynamic speaker event where academia, finance and community engagement converge to create a movement. Over the past 42 years, the Policy Maker Breakfast Series has become the premier event of its kind in the city, attracting an extraordinarily diverse, intellectual and influential audience. Presented by Trinity University in a new partnership with Bank of America, this series is sponsored by the Stevens Academic Enrichment Fund and Trinity’s Office of Conferences and Special Programs.

“Let’s Build Economic Success Together” encapsulates the spirit of unity, progress and shared goals that define a collaboration between Trinity University and Bank of America.

Trinity University, renowned for its academic excellence and commitment to enriching the community through insightful lectures and compelling programming, joins forces with Bank of America, a global financial leader with a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility, building stronger financial futures for all, and uplifting the communities in which it operates.

Together, we are thrilled to announce Michael McFaul, a distinguished political scientist and former U.S. ambassador to Russia, as the second keynote speaker in the Policy Maker Breakfasts.

McFaul is a professor of political science and a Hoover Fellow at Stanford University and is director and senior fellow at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. He served as the U.S. ambassador to the Russian Federation from January 2012 to February 2014. Before becoming the ambassador, he served for three years as the special assistant to the president and senior director for Russia and Eurasian Affairs at the National Security Council.

McFaul has authored and co-edited several monographs, including Advancing Democracy Abroad: Why We Should and How We Can (2009), Democracy and Authoritarianism in the Postcommunist World (2009), and Revolution in Orange: The Origins of Ukraine’s Democratic Breakthrough (2006), to name a few. His New York Times best-selling book, From Cold War to Hot Peace: An American Ambassador in Putin’s Russia (2018), presents an inside account of U.S.-Russia relations.

His insights into diplomacy, international relations and cross-cultural collaboration make him a perfect complement to our theme.

In a world where division often takes center stage, Trinity University and Bank of America are pioneering a different narrative of unity, progress and community building. The Policy Maker Breakfast explores how collaboration, innovation and shared vision can help us build a better future, together.

On Tuesday, Nov. 7, members of the community will gather at the Dawson Family Hall at the Witte Museum for the second keynote speaker of the Policy Maker Breakfasts.

While our event is now sold out, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all who registered, and we look forward to sharing this transformative experience with you as we collectively shape a brighter future in San Antonio.
