Haven for Hope is hosting its third annual Share the Warmth donation drive on Saturday.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., donors can drive up and drop off essential cold-weather items such as coats, hats, scarves and gloves at the Haven for Hope Donation Center located at 1 Haven for Hope Way San Antonio, TX 78207.

The organization is hoping to collect 5,000 pieces of new and lightly-used winter gear through the event.

In a press release, Haven for Hope says its outreach team will distribute donated winter necessities directly to community members experiencing homelessness.

“Despite the above-normal temperatures this winter, we know cold weather is around the corner,” the organization’s press release states. “[The donation drive is] an effort designed to ensure that individuals experiencing homelessness have the winter gear they need to stay safe, warm, and protected.”

Those who would like to participate but are unable to attend can purchase items off Haven for Hope’s Amazon Wishlist, which will ship items directly to the donation center.

Ahead of the event, donations are also being accepted at Dnyce Cutz on Fredericksburg Road, Love Shack Boutique on Callaghan and Potranco and Jen’s Dance Spot on Austin Highway.
