Melissa Fletcher Stoeltje has worked in Texas newspaper journalism for more than three decades, at the San Antonio Light, the Houston Chronicle and the San Antonio Express-News. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and her work has also appeared in Texas Monthly and The New York Times.
