Irene Chavez is a longtime, award-winning small business advocate who spent more than 12 years working in supplier diversity and economic development for UTSA, University Health System, and the City of San Antonio’s Economic Development Office. She is the recipient of the SBA Minority Business Champion of the Year (2010), SABJ 40 Under 40 (2015), and the North Chamber of Commerce Athena Young Professional Leadership Award (2014). Irene is on the board for the Cesar Chavez Legacy and Educational Foundation (CECLEF) and currently serves as the scholarship chair.
