Progressive Roofing, a national roofing contractor headquartered in Phoenix, has acquired Beldon Roofing Company, a San Antonio-based company with nearly 80 years of local history.

The move brings together the two family-founded companies, combining their decades of roofing experience and stretching Progressive’s existing Texas branches.

Beldon Roofing, founded in 1946 by military veteran Morry Beldon as AAA Roofing and changing to Beldon Roofing and Supply in 1955, will continue operating under its name and maintain its San Antonio presence as part of the agreement.

Bradford D. Beldon, CEO of Beldon Roofing Company and grandson of Morry, said the move is a great step for his employees. Beldon told the San Antonio Report Thursday that this allows his employees to have more access to benefits, his customers to have more access to services, and for everyone at the company to have chances at upward mobility.

“I dont consider it extinguishing the flame, I consider it making the flame bigger,” Beldon told the Report. He added he is excited he and his employees will still get to work and operate out of San Antonio.

Nick Hadden, CEO of Progressive Roofing, said in a press statement that the acquisition is “the beginning of an amazing journey.”

“We’re beyond excited to welcome Beldon Roofing Company into our Progressive family,” Hadden said in the statement, which was shared on Beldon’s social media pages. “Our companies share a unique culture of integrity, teamwork and a commitment to putting our customers first.”

As part of the merger, Beldon will join the executive leadership team at Progressive.

“We chose Progressive because our cultures fit together seamlessly, with both companies deeply valuing honesty, customer relationships and outstanding craftsmanship,” he said. “This partnership opens tremendous growth opportunities for our employees and customers. This truly feels like the perfect fit.”

Progressive Roofing was founded in 1978 and has grown into a national company with more than 1,600 employees and locations across the United States. The company specializes in commercial, industrial and institutional roofing systems.

As a result of the acquisition, customers of both companies can expect access to a broader range of services, greater operational capacity, and expanded geographic coverage, the statement noted. No immediate changes to staffing or operations were announced.

The merger reflects a broader trend in the roofing and construction industries, where consolidation has been increasing as companies look for scale, regional expansion, and strategic partnerships.

“We look at the mechanical and electrical contracting world and the consolidation that happened there, we can observe that in our industry as well,” he told the Report, “and we want to be part of effecting change, not be affected by it, and we want to be a part of that new roofing environment.”
