This is my first election for public office and I’m excited to get introduced to the voters.
In the city’s 2024-2025 budget survey, residents ranked homelessness, streets, housing and animal care services among their top concerns for the city to address. Which issues do you consider a top concern for District 3 and how would you work to address them in your first 100 days?
Some top issues that are a concern include access to high paying employment, economic growth, healthcare, affordable housing and ways to repay student loans. I would ensure that the city budget funding is being distributed in ways that contribute to the needs of the city and voters, such as increasing access to public housing by 35% and increasing the park and recreation and the Sports & Entertainment District with “Project Marvel”.
In the first 100 days I will address ways to bring fortune 500 companies to San Antonio to build a partnership that makes District 3 the most attractive in the city.
In a crowded field of council candidates, what differentiates you from the others?
What differentiates me from other candidates, is that I have experience with addressing the everyday experiences of voters in the city, contributing to voter engagement. I have experience with writing legislation on matters that are important to voters. Additionally, I have contributed to student recruitment and first generation college graduates with various administrations.
If elected, how do you plan to solicit input and feedback from residents in your district?
If elected I plan to host town hall meetings and voter engagement meetings to be informed on the needs of the district.
