Parker defeated incumbent Judge Barbara Hervey in the Republican Primary and now faces Democrat Nancy Mulder in November.
Parker started her career in home building before receiving her law degree from Baylor University. She lives in Waco, Texas, and has worked as a city attorney, assistant county attorney and assistant district attorney. She also started her own a dental manufacturing company, called Dental Creations, Ltd.
