Ron Nirenberg has two years to complete his vision for the City of San Antonio, capping off what could be the longest mayoral term since Henry Cisneros held the role in the 1980s.
Nirenberg, who was reelected to a fourth two-year term with roughly 60% of the vote last month, will join San Antonio Report Editor-in-Chief Leigh Munsil at KLRN Studio on June 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for a one-on-one interview to discuss his plans.
As he seeks to solidify his legacy, Nirenberg faces turnover on the City Council, as well as an opportunity to make some structural changes to city government, such as adjusting council pay and the city manager’s contract.
Nirenberg will talk about plans for addressing crime, the city’s approach to a $1 trillion federal infrastructure bill, his record in office, his legacy and what’s left still to accomplish.
