H-E-B has issued a voluntary recall for its Creamy Creations Caramel Pecan Turtle Ice Cream, due to the possible presence of wood pieces in the product.    

In a statement released Thursday, the grocery supermarket said there were no reports of illness from the product.

H-E-B stated the voluntary recall impacts products with the UPC code0 4122051877 7 and the following sell by dates:

  • 20 APR(ABR)16
  • 10 MAY(MAY)16
  • 07 JUN(JUN)16
  • 18 JUL(JUL)16

Customers who purchased the product listed above can return the ice cream to the store for a full refund. Customers with questions or concerns can contact H-E-B Customer Service at 1-855-432-4438.

  1. Too bad about HEB`s recall on the “caramel pecan turtle ice cream”, but certainly a
    responsible action.

    The most delicious peppermint ice cream we have ever tasted was recently
    available by HEB, but for some unknown reason HEB considers it seasonal, so it can
    no longer be purchased. HEB you are missing the boat on this one. WHY CAN`T
    THIS flavor be made all year??? I find peppermint flavor very refreshing in the summer.
    The pink color does not mean it can only be eaten during the Christmas season.
    If you want to remove a pink item, please remove strawberry.
