Donation to the City by the Asociacion de Empresarios Mexicanos.
The monumental sculpture entitled “Torch of Friendship”, by internationally acclaimed Mexican artist, Sebastian, was a gift to the City of San Antonio from the Asociacion de Empresarios Mexicanos. The sculpture’s design represents two cultures, two languages and two roads merging into one.
The artwork also stands as a powerful symbol of union and friendship. It is installed at the circular intersection of Losoya, Commerce, and Alamo streets.
