The majority of the funds raised at Starry Night will support student scholarships in order to make St. Paul’s an option for families who otherwise might not be able to afford a private Montessori education.

Artwork available for bidding includes work by some of San Antonio’s most renowned artists, including Joey Fauerso, Riley Robinson, Steven DaLuz, Lionel and Kathy Sosa, Laura Mijangos, David Alcantar, and Andy Benavides, to name a few.

In addition, Americus Diamond Fine Jewelry has donated its beautiful Circle of Support Diamond Pendant, which has been independently appraised at $2,500.00 retail replacement value. Raffle tickets are $10 each.

Tickets are $45 and include food and drinks. Click here to purchase.

About St. Paul’s

St. Paul’s Episcopal Montessori School thrives on socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity, creating a school that places children’s independence and love for humanity at its center.

St. Paul’s was founded over a decade ago by Kay Mijangos, a Montessori guide with 30 years of classroom experience and a dream to bring Montessori to underserved children in San Antonio. In January 2005, St. Paul’s opened its doors with five students and a firm commitment to teach any student who wanted a Montessori education in the Episcopal tradition.

Today, St. Paul’s is a beacon in education, attracting more than 100 children from across San Antonio – ranging in age from 18 months to 12 years – to the historic Government Hill neighborhood. St. Paul’s enrollment is expected to increase to more than 250 students in the next five years. At the same time, nearly 18% of students receive tuition assistance – a number the school hopes to increase with support from Starry Night, other fundraisers, and independent donations.

Children at St. Paul’s are prepared for life by learning respect for themselves, others, and their environment. They experience beautifully crafted surroundings, a wonderfully diverse community, and highly specialized staff that allows them to develop at their own pace utilizing authentic, proven Montessori methods. In this way, the children’s inner teachers are awakened, and a discipline that is rare in our hectic world is formed, as children embark on their own quest towards a life-long love of knowledge.

St. Paul’s curriculum promotes a broad range of experiences for children’s absorbent minds and includes one of the city’s premier music programs. St. Paul’s enjoys a long-standing history of accomplishment; however, its most important work always has been and will be empowering children to make their own way in the world as human beings who desire to serve rather than to be served.

Thank you for supporting St. Paul’s, and we look forward to seeing you at the Pearl Friday night!
