Watch: Alamo City Street Choir brings Godspell songs to Travis Park Church

On Sunday, Travis Park Church will host the Alamo City Street Choir for a performance of uplifting songs from the 1970s-era musical “Godspell.”

Sebastian Lang-Lessing, former Music Director Emeritus of the San Antonio Symphony, is leading the Musicians of the San Antonio Symphony in a performance of Beethoven at the First Baptist Church of San Antonio this week. Lang-Lessing is seen here sitting on the front steps of the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts which is not currently hosting the symphony.

Stained glass artisan Esther Ortiz works in her home studio Wednesday. Ortiz first began experimenting with glass artwork when she was young and resumed after her father’s passing as a way to cope with the grief. She uses some of her father’s old woodworking tools in her studio today.

A mural created by artist duo Los Otros is one of several murals commissioned by the San Antonio Street Art Initiative. Since 2018 SASAI has worked with artists from Texas and abroad to curate the “Largest Outdoor Gallery in Texas.” Phase II of the project, started in 2018, features murals dotted along the St. Mary’s strip.
