While summer in Texas often means triple-degree heat during the day, the mild-weathered nights are typically inviting and pleasant, perfect for taking advantage of the city’s various outdoor spaces.

That’s why Slab Cinema will continue to offer free outdoor movie screenings in several San Antonio parks and other spaces throughout the entire summer and beyond. Along with a variety of family-friendly flicks, the lineup also includes classics like Westside Story and American Graffiti, as well as a a Southtown Cinema series coming to Hemisfair in August through December.

All film screenings are free – unless otherwise noted – and start at dusk. Interested movie-goers should bring picnics, lawn chairs and blankets, if they wish. For more info, visit slabcinema.com.
