The holidays are quickly approaching, and with each major holiday comes a bunch of food that is delicious, but often rich and heavy. One way to alleviate extra pounds or feelings of guilt is to run a 5K – for your own health or for that of a loved one.
Inspire others to stay in shape, challenge yourself for a cause by representing a charity, and motivate the people in your office to come with you. Best part: It’s fun.
Here are some forthcoming running events where you can participate in 5K, 10K, half marathon, full marathon races, or any combination of the four.

Ever run a 5k in a Santa suit? Well a bunch of people who do are going to meet at Sunset Station on Nov. 27. If you’ve never done it, consider it for a good cause and a good sweat. All others must bring their own.
