State of Water 2019
The West San Antonio Chamber of Commerce is bringing together leaders in the water world to talk about the future of San Antonio’s resource. Robert Puente, president and CEO of the San Antonio Water System; Suzanne Scott, general manager of the San Antonio River Authority; and Roland Ruiz, general manager of the Edwards Aquifer Authority, will discuss how water impacts business owners and community members. Art Party: Supermen and Wonderwomen
The San Antonio Museum of Art is hosting another Art Party in collaboration with KRTU 91.7 FM on Friday, featuring live music and craft cocktails at a cash bar. Free Screening: Imprisoning a Generation
The Esperanza Peace and Justice Center and Jewish Voice for Peace are hosting a free screening and discussion of Imprisoning a Generation. The documentary follows four Palestinians who were born into Israeli occupation. Their perspectives and their families’ voices tell the story of how Israel attempts to deter resistance by targeting Palestinian youths. A discussion about the movie will follow the screening. There will be refreshments and snacks served as well.
