Press Conference at HEB Southtown on June 16, 2016 propelled by a multi-million dollar gift from H-E-B and its Chairman and CEO Charles Butt and the participation and leadership of the one-year-old urban advocacy group Tech Bloc, the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) plans to open a high performance tech high school downtown in the 2017-2018 academic year.
