The Rivard Report is seeking an enthusiastic visual journalism intern to join our photography department this summer.

With the help of a visual intern, we hope to continue at that pace as we grow in readership and reputation throughout San Antonio. The earliest start date could be June 1 and end as late as Sept. 1.

We strive to make thoughtful decisions on visual storytelling for each of our articles. The visual intern will be sent on assignment throughout the city, covering all manner of stories and venues to build up our archive of compelling, unique visuals.

The ideal candidate is a self starter with a deep interest in photography, videography and new mediums. A strong understanding of social media, editorial style post-processing and the ability to write brief articles and concise cutlines is required. The applicant must provide his/her own vehicle along with industry standard camera equipment.  This is a paid and seasonal position.

Interested candidates should email a web portfolio, resumĂ© and examples of published work to scott@rivardreport.com by Monday, May 30 at 12:00 PM CST.
