A resident of Helotes, Stevens earned a bachelor’s degree in English from UTSA, a master’s degree in education and teacher leadership from the University of Phoenix, and a doctorate in education and curriculum from Northcentral University. He has been a high school teacher for 11 years and is also a licensed minister.
