While we all love the King William Fair and Parade, nobody loves the traffic headache that comes with 40,000 people that come to party in Southtown. As such, we are encouraging you to ride your bike, carpool, or take public transportation, and to help ease the congestion and make everyone’s day happier. We at the King William Fair have put together an alternative transportation program that we hope makes everything smooth and easy.

There is limited parking throughout the remaining King William and Southtown area. Please pay attention to permanent and temporary parking restriction signs. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed and/or towed. Fair visitors may park in nearby commercial lots and walk to the Fair. Some property owners and parking lots may have parking spaces for sale, typically $10 to $30 per day.

We hope you have a safe and fun Fair day with us. Our parade has lots of fun new things to see this year: Golden People from Austin Oddities, The U.S. Army Biohazard Brass Band, Earn-a-Bike and their student made “butterfly bikes,” and the one and only Spurs Jesus.

We’ll also have some of our usual suspects: the Pride of San Antonio Showband, Miss Southtown, the Dos Equis bus, and the Alamo Beard Club.

Other fun entries include the Star Wars Society of San Antonio, the Teen Studio from the Southwest School of Art, Conjunto Heritage Taller, and Fiesta’s Cornyation. This is our 50th Anniversary and we really wanted it to be something special – of course, what really makes it all special are the folks who come to celebrate with us and our little block party with a purpose!

Viva Fiesta!
